Royal Wedding

  1. The world appears to be going nuts about the Royal Wedding.

I can't summon one ounce of enthusiasm for it apart from the fact there
    is an extra Bank Holiday.

What says ukrm and who's having a street party to celebrate?

I had occasion to go into Windsor last weekend. It's mad!
    Me neither.
I don't think that the Mallorcan villa I'll be staying in is on a
    street.

We've done that and that seemed to be the general consensus.

We can't be away for the happy occasion, but we won't be watching it.
We've set the day aside for a welding party .. family's coming round
with some mates and we're finishing some welding I have to do on my
Landrover and a cam-belt change on the wifes(new to us) Mondeo .. :)

We have beer .. which may not be the best idea with a mig welder being
wielded .. and food, cooked and barbecued ... ;)

Only following the example of England. Huwwah for Oliver Cromwell!

Do you think they'll confiscate my passport?

  18. I have to confers that my usual loyalty to the existing political system
tends to desert me somewhat during times like these. However I
rationalise with it being an unfortunate and inevitable part of the cost I
have to bear but that will be the last of it for at least 9 months unless
some stupid fucking idiot runs out in front of the trap while they are
going along the mall and if I might take this moment to beg of nutters
everywhere to please take a fucking day off and go shagging or drinking or
something else worthwhile instead, for all our sakes, I will.
