A Devon-based Royal Marine corporal has been found guilty of attempting
to pervert the course of justice.

Gary Philips, 39, from Plymouth, was accused of changing the colour of
his motorbike to avoid a speeding offence.

He had denied being caught on a speed camera doing 75mph in a 40mph
zone in August 2005, claiming his bike's registration was "cloned".

The judge at Plymouth Crown Court adjourned sentencing until next month
but warned Philips he could face jail.

    Don't make no difference. I had a green/white/blue ZXR-750 that was
listed as being red on the V5. I had bought it 4th hand, but still told
DVLA about the mistake. Unsuprisingly they didn't appear to care.

Switters () gurgled happily, sounding much like they were
    saying :
Run the plate (clearly shown on the Beeb's clip) through the RAC's website
    vehicle check...

"So black it looks silver"? Orange...
