    I can beat that. I had a mail from Amazon on Saturday morning, to tell
    me they'd posted my stuff, and I'd already been handed it by the
    postman some 45 minutes before.

    Well, on the opposite side, I had a package lost that I sold on eBay,
    which I'd refunded to the buyer. The PO agreed to pay up, so no worries.
    That was about three weeks ago, and the cheque still hasn't arrived, and
    I've not had a reply to two Emails now either.

    There is always the possibility that Amazon's outbound, or your ISP's
    inbound, mail server is borked.
