    Any recommendations?

I'm looking for either XP compatible s/w or Palm s/w. Something that
could work with a PC or Palm GPS module.

Voice enabled s/w would be nice too.

  2. Not quite what you want, but I have to say that www.map24.co.uk is far
preferable to multimap or streetmap, not least for it's fluid zoom
    capabilities.

I like Mappy.com, but that's quite a nice one too.

Mappy.com is OK, if all you want is 1:1,000,000 map of France.

The BOSM method works well for me.

"Derby it's in that direction" and after a quick stop to look at a petrol
station's map (and not buy any petrol, living on the edge hey?) "Oh,
that's nice we can miss Leicester /and/ the motorway. Mmm, twisty roads
    ...."

The return journey was similar "London, it's that way" but with less "My
dear Yokel please tell me the way to the fine hamlet of Hulland Ward"
