Roundabout speeds

On your average roundabout, what indicated maximum speed do you tend to
achieve when pitched over (doing at least a 180 turn)?

I've got a sneaking suspicion that I don't get anywhere close to the limits
of the R6's cornering ability, but without someone faster to learn off, it's
hard to judge when enough is enough. I'm keen to avoid earlier front-end
sliding incidents, but also keen to improve my riding/cornering confidence.

I currently hold about 50mph (indicated) around a fairly large roundabout
where I live (A38/A419 junction glos), and feel like it's a bit pathetic
really. I think I'm still a bit timid since last year's off.

    Your insults gratefully received.

    No, you almost certainly don't.

If you went to a track you might get closer to them.

You might also notice that the track didn't feature gravel, diesel spills,
cars waiting to pull on to it, coppers, crap tarmac, painted lines, bits of
    old tyre, pedestrians, etc.

    [snip]
Point taken; although in my defence I do tend to leave these sort of
'experiments' until I know when the roads are quiet, and also do a lap to
make sure of the lack of afore-mentioned obstacles.

Mea culpa. I thought switching from Ribes genus to Fortunella genus
    would be within the rules.

Given the enormous variation in the radius of rounabouts, I think this
question belongs firmly in the "how long is a piece of string" camp.

I've actually banned the use of the redundant "mea culpa" in response to my
posts. It's a bad ukrm habit and it needs to be stamped out. Please send £50
    to my paypal account.

any of several small yellow to orange citrus fruits with sweet spongy
rind and somewhat acid pulp that are used chiefly for preserves, but
    that's not important right now.

A lot less on mini roundabouts than big over-the-top-of-motorways type
    roundabouts.
Check yer chicken strips. If you've got any on the rear, you can
definitely lean more. If you haven't on the rear, but have on the front,
you can still definitely lean more, assuming you haven't got mismatched
tyres. You don't wanna be giving it a fistful when you're starting to
roll off the edge of the rear though.

In the 1500's the approach to many cottages was obstructed by livestock,
pigpens and general rural paraphernalia. Thus a cottage had to be approached
indirectly or "in a roundabout way".
