    Here's another good site:
    http://www.racefan.com/RF_ff_motorcycle.asp

However, there's no news from there either - Malaysia's only 3 hours behind
Sydney so there should be some news already. (Dammit!)

I just checked motogp.com and theres a report up now, some choice cuts...

After his first test-day on board his new bike at the Sepang circuit in
Malaysia, Rossi was already top of the time sheets and revealed that he
was happy with both his and the bike’s performance. ”This is obviously
a very important move for me, and I was very excited before getting on the
bike,” said Rossi. “My first impressions are quite good. You have some
ideas about the other bikes when you run with them on the circuit and,
sincerely, I expected more big problems, but more or less the bike is
okay. It has some things less than Honda, but also some good, and it is
    basically not so bad.”

    Unofficial lap times

    Valentino Rossi – 2’03.80 (58 laps)
    Carlos Checa – 2’04.10 (53 laps)
    Marco Melandri 2’05.40 (48 laps)
    Norick Abe – 2’05.84 (50 laps)

The article is a little misleading - it implies that Rossi had the best lap
times overall for the test session, whereas he only had the best lap times
on that particular day. (But it is still pretty impressive for his first day
after a long time out of the saddle).

Overall, this puts Rossi in 7th place for the combined testing session so
    far.

    Max Biaggi 2’02.96 (54 laps)
    Sete Gibernau 2’03.30 (64)
    Makoto Tamada 2’03.40 (54)
    Colin Edwards 2’03.60 (54)
    Tohru Ukawa 2’03.63 (87)
    Nicky Hayden 2’03.69 (84)

  5. It's nice to know that he gets Christmas holidays like the rest of us.
You would have thought Yamaha would have had him glued in the seat at a
racetrack every day since 01/01/04, testing, testing, testing.

  7. Aaron,
I worked through Christmas, and my hols don't come till May.
I sat next to the mongrel phone on standby for work,on Christmas day, Boxing
day, Sat, Sun,and the rest of the week till the next Thurs, and got no calls
    till Sat arvo.
The family at the Sunny coast, and me on my pat Malone, with the dog.
A piss poor Christmas, but some mug has to 'volunteer' somewhere don't
    they, for the community?
Brisbane heat & humidity included. No bike rides for a fortnight, as the
next weekend it rained here, and was stinking hot.(and still hot/humid)

I was speaking of the collective population, not for myself.

  13. I would not read all that much into the test times, its only a testride of
sorts, early days, and prob. not the final race bike spec. he will be racing
in 04',we will have to wait for race day to see where they all are at

I expect a tough year for all,but given half a chance and the right set up
Valentino should win the Championship AGAIN

The Yamaha is already fast enough it just lacked the final setup and key
rider, all those points are covered now

hahaonda wont be sitting still,Ducati are ready to win and of course
Aprilia,Suzuki and Kawa dont race to make up numbers

Should be a great season still months away though

Yea, they only did half a Toyota. Way to establish a stable team guys, sack
the rider when the bike doesn't perform.

I think you'll find it was actually McCoy who got rid of Kawasaki, sick of being blamed for the failures of their piss
    poor excuse for a motorcycle.
