Rossi to leave?

  1. This saga has been going on and on, with no contract yet signed, even though
it was and still is "90% a done deal"

I do hope he does ride and win for another brand then he will be a super
genius as anybody has been able to win on a hahahonda but only Loris was
able to steal a win on the Ducati this season thus far

The Yami does seem to have untapped potential and would/nt Max be pissed if
Rossi turns it into a regular winner !! He would want to move back to them??
A super Italian team with Rossi and Milandri,i mentioned this before

Who gets the factory bike now,Biaggi,Edwards,Tamato ????

  2. I will pay that,he IS the best NOBODY else has had as much competition as
him yet 50% win rate, and 355 points in a season

Oh and much much younger than the doohan fellow he could do 10 Championships
if he dosen/t get bored with it

"The decision to supply similar machinery to all six RCV riders next season
is thought to have angered Vale, and was seen as an attempt by HRC to
    undermine his number one status."

That has to be the pettiest reason I've ever heard. I really hope this
isn't the reason that he *might* be leaving. If so, it seriously undermines
the guys sportmanship. If he's as good as he thinks he is, then having
equal bikes will still mean he's winning. I'de much rather see a race of
*skill* than a race of pure machinery. Why shouldn't the other guys get
bikes as good as Rossi's? How hard is it for them to bloody when when their
    behind the 8 ball already!

  5. Well, in defence of the Spanish journos who "broke" the story, it was a bit
short notice, so it's easy to see how that could've been the best they could
    come up with.

What goes "oink" and flies around aimlessly?

It makes sense really. Why put up with either being brought down to everyone elses level, or having
them be brought up to you? It undermines your value on the market and therefore potentially
    restricts what you might earn.
Sadly, sportsmanship has little to do with it at this level of competition.
But the manufacturers don't care about the skill involved. They only want to see their machines win.
Win on Sunday, sell on Monday.
From a manufactureres point of view, it's better to have one or two top flight pilots on top flight
machinery, and then test the new bits and pieces on everyone elses maxchines. That way if the
experiments fail, they can say it was only the old version, not the whizz-bang new toy.

And now that I've re-read the original posts, I realise where the manufacturers are concerned I got
the wrong end of the stick. :-/

But what I said about Rossi's earnings still stands.

Heheh so maybe Biaggi isn't as big a whiner as everyone was making out ?
    Biaggi's still a dick though.

I'd be glad if monkey boy won't be at Honda anymore, and for him to go to Yamaha
would be fantastic, his skills might make up for the Yammie's shortcomings, and
that means with Honda Yam and Ducati in the running it'll be more evenly matched

Bet he doesn't go though - $10 says he's just putting the pressure on to up the
    ante.

  9. FuTAnT is of the opinion:
Rossi has no sportsmanship anyway. After the last GP race, he didn't say
"Biaggi did a good job", he basically said that the only reason he didn't
wipe the floor was because he "had a problem".

He's a good rider, but an absolute cock of a person.

    Air Police?

Hmm, anyone remember the old "pigs in space" in NSW - cops flying around
timing people between lines painted on the road and issuing speeding
tickets? Shit that was a while ago now...

Hehe now that would be cruel, the worst part is I'll bet money Kwakka shoot the
messenger and sack McCoy and Pitt next year - they save face by making out it's
a rider problem (and avoid addressing the fact their bike sucks)

I remember the spack Freddie Spencer put on when they signed Wayne Gardner to ride the same bikes in '86.

Eh? Wasn't Rossi in the lead for a bit, then Biaggi got past him, Rossi
dropped his bundle, and got back up to 2nd? Or was I not watching the race
close enough and I mistook Rossi for someone else?
