  1. FINALLY, Valentino will reveal to the world what team/brand he will be
racing AND winning on next season

The mail is for Yamaha together with fellow Italian Melandri, BUT haonda
and Ducati are also in the picture

"The man from Honda arrives here tomorrow and we will speak with him before
making the announcement," revealed Rossi, who has been strongly linked with
a switch from Honda to Yamaha. "I don't think it would be fair to make it
before the race so we will wait and do it afterwards."

  5. Interesting if true:

Go to Yamaha, Doohan tells Rossi
    By James Stanford
    29oct03

AUSTRALIAN motorcycle legend Mick Doohan says three-time MotoGP
champion Valentino Rossi could win races on a Yamaha next year.

Rossi is yet to announce whether he will re-sign with Honda or switch
to Yamaha for an estimated $17 million next season.

Doohan is the racing manager of Honda Racing Corporation's MotoGP
team, but has admitted he would like to see Rossi on a Yamaha.
"I would like to see it happen like everybody else would like to see
it happen, but only if it's beneficial to Valentino," Doohan said.
"I really hope wherever he goes he has a lot of fun and has some
success and I believe he'll have it anyway."

Doohan won his five world championships on Hondas and admitted he had
been often tempted to move across to Yamaha, but never did.
"I think Yamaha probably learnt a lot with myself," Doohan told the
    official MotoGP website.
"We toyed with it (switching to Yamaha) every year for a few years and
I'm sure they know that they have an opportunity now to grab
    Valentino."

Rossi, 24, is expected to announce his plans after the final MotoGP
race in Valencia, Spain, on Sunday, but Doohan has already announced a
successor, should the Italian champion move on. "We need some new
leaders and without a doubt Nicky Hayden (Honda MotoGP rookie) is a
future world champion within the next year or two," Doohan said. Rossi
said at Phillip Island 10 days ago that the problems with the Honda
contract were too complex to explain in less than "two to three
hours". Paddock sources suggest Rossi wants a deal that would require
less team and sponsor-related work and public appearances, along with
a competitive bike. He raised hopes of an Italian dream team when he
said he would like to ride for Ducati, but that is less likely as the
Italian team insisted he make several public appearances.
