I shall be there again until next week, sadly not with bike. Forecast is
sun with more sun in the 30's.

Given that I tan darker than a speedyspic in 30 mins flat I've decided
not to take my small rucksack this time around. If you think the Met are
    bad....!!!

If *this* Pope dies as well before I get into the Sistine Chapel I will
be........, well, I will have mixed feelings ;o)

    Play nice.

I was there for a few days earlier this month - absolutely loved it.

Helped to be working I think - meant I was inside during the hotttest bit
and got everything else paid for ;-)

It was 40deg and high humidity. Was very glad the hotel had an excellent
aircon unit. It is a great place to visit though, agreed.
No problems with rucksacks, they would appear to have had a *massive*
clearout of (illegal?) immigrants, complete change inside 6 months.
Obvious security (military) only around airports etc.

The Vatican greeted me with open arms. I admit to being impressed,
perhaps it was actually worth raping the developing world for several
    centuries.....
