    Which country and brand makes the 1st and 2nd place in the championship standings [again] ?
    Japan.. Honda 1,2 correct me if Im wrong.. cause this is aus.moto, not
    aus.****.im.desperate.for.some.attention.cause.Im.losing.arguement.again

  2. I'm watching the 1987 GP highlights tapes from SBS (borrowed from a bloke at
    work)---only halfway through the 4 hours so far.
    "Could this be the year Randy Mamola cracks it for the title?"
    Erm,no---but seeing him dice in the wet with Eddie Lawson was certainly
    entertaining...
    Interesting seeing Frankie Chili on the podium on an NS500 triple...

    The triple was a good weapon in the tight tracks or when rain negated the
    then neck snapping power delivery of the V fours. There was one particular
    race in that era when all the factory backed riders bar one, Chili under
    orders from the HB boss, refused to ride and the much derided Michael
    Rudroff scored a second to him on an old NS.

    Oh and who'll ever forget Salzburg in 87, one of the greatest GPs of all
    time.
