You must be frequently disappointed. I wouldn't want to say I've *never*
been served meat by a vegetarian, but I can't actually remember an
    instance.

    heh. Me too.

After spending a weekend at my veggie SO's place, I'm very "fruity"
    of a Monday morning.

My SO is veggie and I'm actually very fond of many veggie meals now[1].

I can eat until I can't eat anymore, but then half an hour later it's
    digested
    and I'm fine for pudding.
[1] I did a very nice spicy vegetable casserole in the slow cooker at
the weekend. Potatoes, parsnip, carrots, sweet potato and lentils.
Although I shall be mixing in some sausages with the leftovers for
    tonight, I think.

Actually, it was damned nice and I'll definitely be seeking them out
next time. /Proper/ thin base which wasn't in the least bit doughy nor
was it like a biscuit when cooked. Not too much topping, just enough
/and/ it had a nice sprinkling of herbs on it, too.

    Mr Tesco's own.

The second rule is to ignore any of the 'meat-substitue' crap, like
soya mince or quorn. "Just substitute for meat in any recipe". Yeah,
    right.

Well, it *can* work for chilli and the like, but I personally prefer to
    do
    a bean chilli instead.

And what the hell is quorn bacon for? If you've given up meat, you've
    given
it up - there's no point in trying to pretend you can have a "bacon"
    sarnie[1]

Only if you're in the habit of making 'chilli' from tasteless minced
beef. I can't remember the last time I cooked with minced beef. Minced
lamb, for kofta curry, but not beef.
Aye, me too. three typres of bean, plus carrot, celery, mushrooms,
peppers and all the usual stuff.

Is it possible to like or dislike tofu? If interstellar space tasted of
anything, I think tofu would taste of it.
