Roads that MUST be ridden

While carving my way through the traffic on the M25 this morning I found
myself going rather rapidly through an average speed camera stretch, safe
in the knowledge that my bike was immune to forward-facing cameras. That
led me to think about the doomed attempt to put cameras on the Cat and
Fiddle run. This in turn led me to think about the best stretches of road
in the UK for two-wheeled enjoyment. So folks...which roads in the UK
should be on a list of, say, the 10 all-time greats, and why? (Excuding
Pahnd Island as just too obvious.)

Err, I thought the C & F run was having rear reading cameras.

    - Not been up there for a while, coat at the ready if talking b***.

IoM is not part of the UK.

I have some of the best riding roads in the UK on my doorstep. I'm quite
happy to demonstrate some for anyone that cares to visit. Some aren't in
Wales as the border is just over there ----->>>

They are, but they well and truly fucked up. They're not operational, nor
will the be for some time as there's a short cu with a different speed limit
between camera one and two (average speed cams too) and right in the middle
of the two camera's is... The fucking Cat and Fiddle.

So, you can leather it up to the C&F, stop for a brewski, get back on the
bike and leather the fucker out of the area, in either direction, safe in
the knowledge that the cam's won't get you.
Talking all sorts but the truth.

A272 - the whole length of it.

Avoid Sundays. (a) the police know about it (b) it's a road that goes
through countryside in the South of England.

Excellent! Any road that has had a book written about it
must be worth a visit. That goes on my list of things to do.

    B158.

Not only does it pass Posh Spice's old family home, but it has a
    section called "Cum Cum hill".
