road trip time (almost)

Watching Easy Riders the other night I thought it was about time for a
road trip. I figure I'll take a week off around the end of May, go up to
the NE corner of OK and start heading west.

I picked up a couple books from the Nat'l. Histerical Rt 66 Federation
that shows a lot of the road's twists and turns - where it still exists.

I took it east from LA a few years and it was interesting - some cool,
out of the way places and stuff to see. I think the weirdest was in AZ -
a road sign warning of flying saucers beaming up cows. I got a pic of it
- just got to find it.

I'm thinking of leaving on a Fri afternoon, go west for a few days then
come back home starting around the following Wed.

Anyone interested in cruising?

We are leaving around the 28th of May (Wed) for up there around Colorado and
Utah primarily. We'll cross 66 somewhere, but will be a couple days ahead of
you. Might catch you on the way back however.
