Road tax

  1. My SIII SWB Diesel is the ecconomical little motor of the family - does
    about 28 to 30mpg. Can't knock it.

    24 mpg was my all time best from the 1 ton IIA ex Radio Car I had. It
    averaged 17 mpg; less, but not much less, when towing.

    My old Rangie would do 15 no matter what I did to it - creeping along or
    thrashing the tits off it, no difference at all.

    I used to hold up a lot of traffic with it. One bloke in a VW Golf got
    really angry one day, until I started throwing rubbish out the window at
    him, and seeing how much of it I could stick to his car. He then got
    extremely angry. :)

    I should have got a diesel engine and an overdrive, but ran out of money
    on account of being unemployed.
