road camber=uneven tyre wear ?

In my case, I reckon it's due to my enthusiasm for keeping my head as
far as possible from the oncoming traffic. Hence I stay more upright
on the bike in RH turns, and tend to lean it over more[1]. And my
front tyres almost inevitably wear the RHS out before the LHS.

[1] Meaning me=more upright, bike=more leant over, if that makes
    sense.

  2. I find I can corner harder on the left just due to the camber of the road.

According to Brouggy from Superbike school the majority of people he
meets in his classroom prefer lefthand corners to right handcorners. His
theory was something around the fact that left hand corners feel safer
as they're away from the oncoming traffic.

odd... it's the left handers where the oncoming traffic is more likely to be
closer to you ... i.e. on your side of the road, and where you are more likely
to be closer to it, i.e. sliding under it.

On the other hand, when this "which do you prefer" thing comes up on
rec.moto, most people seem to prefer left handers.

Which indicates to me that it might be because the throttle is on the
right. It's easier to countersteer by pushing the non-throttle side.

I do seem to prefer lefts at tracks too, when traffic isn't a problem.

I've been toying with a theory on this for a while and finally think
it has more to do with which foot you kick a ball with (ie dominant
    leg).

When I was much younger and riding a pushy with backpedal brakes, I
would always lockup the rear and slide to the right (I prefer right
hand corners myself) as i am left leg dominant (yet right handed) and
my left leg was working the brake.

Most people kick a ball with their right leg and would presumably use
their right leg to work the brakes on that type of push bike,
resulting in sliding left and a preference for left handers.

I always preferred the single right hander when I did dirt track years
    ago.

    Just a simple theory.

    Regards

Plausible. Another one on the handedness thing is that the majority of
people are right handed, and to countersteer left you'll pull on the
right bar, and will apply comparatively more force from your stronger
arm, hence tipping in quicker and making an easier corner of it

(does that make sense ? I'm a bottle of Peter Lehman Shiraz on board :)

Eh? I defnitely push on the inside bar on lefts, and pull on the
    outside more on rights.

    Probably because of the throttle.

But I don't pull the right bar in lefts.

Not if you have a throttle lock. But I prefer lefts too. I do feel more
exposed in the middle of the road, but the right-siders wouldn't. So it's
    something else.

  18. I definitely used to hate right handers - but would quite happily scrape
the pegs on left handers. Then I spent a day on the Morgan Park track,
going clockwise, and I now corner much more tightly on right-hand
corners than left-hand corners (well - except for THAT right-hand
    corner).
