A mate is looking at this riser kit:-

I've got a horrid feeling that the clip-on ends up poorly supported as
it is round a bit of pipe that isn't the fork and it purely cosmetic
rather than being round a bit of fork that is structural IYSWIM.

I feel that rather than the bolt stopping the clip-on rotating around
the fork (as in the stock set up) that single bolt is providing the full
    structural integrity.

Or will it be fine and I'm just a bit of an old woman?

"4. Insert the small tube with the metal cap down through the top of
the handlebar to cover the preload adjuster. This is just for
looks and will help to keep the upper part of the handlebar and
    preload adjuster neat."
See how much of the fork tube is above the upper triple clamp:

    Perhaps a little of both...

I'd seen that and tbh it didn't make me feel happy from an engineering
    pov.
So prolly OK then. If not, then move the forks.
    Undoubtedly

Me neither, but Genmar have a middling-to-good reputation so I'd
have been surprised if it was done totally wrong.
