A Beetle with a Porsche engine at the back is a Porsche.

 

The idea was was to make it as inconspicuous as possible until you put
your foot down and left the back axle on the road. LOL

One of my old man's mates used to run a Beetle tuning place (Beetle
People in High Wycombe). His toys included a VW transporter pick-up
with a twin-turbo Porsche racing engine in the back. Awesome bit of kit.

He also had a Kubelwagon (sp?) with an adjustable rear diff. It was
great fun adjusting the diff 'til it was almost locked, then driving it
round tight corners. The drivetrain wound itself up and then, when it
couldn't take anymore, the whole back end of the car leapt sideways
across the road
