Ah yes, I forgot about that. Mucho gracias. -- Lesley CBR600FW SBS#11 (with oak-leaf cluster) BOTAFOT#101A UKRMHRC#12 BONY#54P BOB#18 Real burds don't take hormones, they rage naturally
Of course, I did mean the 3.5. I remembered the 2.8 because I knew I didn't want the 2.3. I saw one on eBay a while ago, a ghastly canary yellow one, but £350 was a bit of a no no. I'm very surprised to see that they're fetching thousands on eBay at the moment! I really don't think they cost that much when new. How come the novelty wore off anyway?
Whinging Courier says... I had a 2 year old Marina van back in 1982/3, it cost me 800 quid. It went, steered and stopped and carried a lot of crap in the back. That's all I wanted it to do.
Whatever My mate (yes, another one) had the (must've been the 2.6) but it was the 3.5 I wanted because it had the biggest engine and it was a 3.5. Dave the lorry driver at Interlink had a maroon 3.0l Capri that I used to drool over as well, that and another mate, Darren who had a ratted matt black one.
The 2600 was the sportier car by a fair margin - better balanced than the 3.5 - I do think that the V8 sounded better though.
Results 1 - 10 of about 943 for talbot sunbeam owners club. (0.22 seconds) Results 1 - 10 of about 454 for +"talbot sunbeam" +"owners club". (0.34 seconds) So not *that* bad, but still bad. http://www.sunbeamlotus.com/ http://www.arcc.demon.co.uk/asoc.htm
That's all any van should do, innit. I mean I use mine for personal transport and hardly ever carries stuff in the back but I didn't buy it because it was pretty either. Vans rock. My old Maestro van had seats in the back, too.
Muck says... Santa Pod Raceway had a Honda Acty pick up, with a blown big block Chevy engine mounted in the pick up bed driving the back wheels.
I bet that went a little better than my one. I had a custom car book with a V6 engined Acti. The V6 drove the wheels through some sort of belt drive off a Jag I think[1]. [1]It was a long time ago, and I mainly used to look at the pictures.
Talking of 3.5lr V8s earlier, that was the done thing to put in the back of a tranny when I was at the modifying cars stage. A twin wheeled one. That and [dream phase] putting a Porsche engine in the back of a Vee Dub.
Oh, well tbh, I think that's the only one I've ever seen. He was a great big hairy bloke with a long black beard and tattoos
