Well it's slow as shit in here.....is anyone doing any riding? I had my bike out for a bit this afternoon. It's nice to do a little shopping on the bike. Pull 'em right up on the sidewalk, walk in, walk out....DONE! Nice weather for it too. Cool, but not cold. Just about perfect. --Fullstate
I was fighting colds and taking meds all last week myself. Didn't do any riding while I was taking them. Kind of made feel spacey and I didn't trust myself on the bike. --Fullstate
I've been riding. It's a tad cool, but not bad at all. Tell you what, this cold dense air is creating some serious front end problems.. IE, the darn thing won't stay down.
<snip> I just got back from Florida. 3k miles in 6 road days. I'll compile a ride report soon. Look for it!
Now let's get to the itinerary about a ride we intend to make down into Mexico.. That is, provided Waco can get his Springer "gucci'd" up.. I alluded to the projected ride in another thread .. I will wear my bathrobe, pilot's cap and some goggles... just for the fashion statement.. I already got the permits for my motorcycle and a visa.. You guys better get busy ..I am expecting both of you to be on board... when we lock in on a sure date.. Your friend in Irving Bill Walker
If you got the passport, you are halfway there... The permit is for the motorcycle, since we are riding.. The Mexican Consulate in Dallas can issue the permit or you can get one at the border in their immigration.. Let's go...
No need for a passport.. I always travel with my birth certificate.. The visa and the vehicle permits are good for six months... The consulate is here in Dallas and I already have permits on my pickup and motorcycle, which I will use in December for the visit with the family down there.. I went to Mt.Pleasant today and they are building me a trailer to haul with, if I choose... We can hook up for the ride and I guarantee, Mexico is the last frontier for bikers who like to race the wind and chase the sun.. Country is warm and the people friendly.. Girls are gorgeous and they don't play games... Jump on the back of a sharp motorcycle in a heartbeat.. The tequila is hot and the food is spectacular.. The scenery is beautiful and changes hourly.. There are some of the most gorgeous mountains in the world.. Those curves are so tight, that you better be careful when you see tail lights, they might be your own.. And ... I speak the language... Let's do it.. pard.. Your friend in Irving Bill Walker.... BTW... don't believe this new rumor Fullstate has initiated... Would you believe he is insinuating that I go to bed at nine o'clock in the evening... LOL... what time is it now ??
