    <humble mode on>
    Ok, I need a little assistance. Preferably free.
    <HMO>
    I know the SOBeemer isn't exactly a sprots bike, and I know I have issues
    with handling/riding after my altercation with a road sign and car a while
    back so I am looking for some useful and constructive advise and/or
    observation of my riding.
    I'm not looking to be the next track day marvel as good as team UKRM riders,
    nor a knee down king , and I'm not looking to perform silly stunts on the
    road etc, but what I am seeking is more confidence and skill building to
    ride better and slightly less wooden.
    I don't really want a full on lesson or a series of lessons leading to a
    qualification or certificate either until I can really get to grips with my
    little issues and possibly relax more
    I ride daily and as much as I can after work to get more practice. Even
    after all these years I am still doing daft things that I shouldn't
    So what shall I do?

    (Comments on sell the bike and get skates/car/scooter/use legs or a bus and
    other crap will be ignored)

    Dunno if it'll help but I've found K100's like plenty of countersteering
    and a smooth but forceful riding style.

    Yes, very much what I found. You do have to watch long bends as well,
    they do drift out a lot at high speed, so you need to have a low entry
    speed.

    Do the IAM test.
    .... and then refuse the certificate when you pass. ;)
    I'd say pretty much the same here. I regularly read Roadcraft, The
    Police Riders' Handbook. And then I try to put that into practice on
    the road. I recognise the daft things a lot more now. Usually in a
    "What if that driver had switched lanes, I'd be chewing door now"
    kinda way, but I know that doing something about them *before* they
    happen will come, with practice.

    But if you really want to evaluate your technique, gain confidence and
    improve your riding you certainly wouldn't be wasting any money on the
    Dave Corden training w/e.

    Go for a ride with me, then if I leave you standing you'll be so
    embarassed you'll have to give up biking and it won't be a problem. If
    not you'll feel better about your riding.
