Local paper had an artical concerning raising objections to riding and
drinking , now does anyone actually know the facts as applicable to Qld
and future intentions of blight and her cronies ?

Facts? Nope. I recall statistics from Vic showed that the proportion
of alcohol influenced riders involved in serious or fatal accidents
was higher than that for other drivers, but this is not indicative of
a higher proportion of drink drivers, because a much higher proportion
of drivers than riders are caught drink driving at RBT stops. The
difference being that drivers more frequently navigate successfully
from their last drink to the RBT whereas motorcyclists are more likely
to crash along the way and never arrive at the RBT. Facts you
    wanted? sorry only vague memories.

"Nev GYAFW" would have made much more sense.

What I am trying to acertain is what is happening re the proposal of
zero alchohol when riding a bike which was not properly addressed in the
    articthingy in the paper
if this shite was forced on car operators there would be a major outcry

The Australian Motorcycle Council is aware of this issue has it has a
rep on the Queensland Motorcycle Safety Advisory Group. The AMC has
raised concerns about how the research is being conducted to determine
the effects on fiders of alcohol at levels below 0.05. It is waiting
for a response from the Dept of Transport and Main Roads.
