Riding Again...

Well, not a big ride report like Wakko's.....but I got back on the
bike yesterday for the first time in over 2 months!! :-D

The weather couldn't have been nicer. With my mesh jacket and one of
those breathable / wicking type shirts it was very cool, but not
    uncomfortable.

I didn't ride anywhere special, and didn't ride very far or for two
long. My and my friend, Bling!, just tooled around, got some food and
    ran a few errands.

I could tell my riding skills had deteriorated just a bit.... but I
quickly warmed back up to the bike. My knee bothered me enough that I
was a little slow getting my foot back on the peg - but not slow
enough that anyone else but me would notice. However, getting it down
at a stop didn't bother me at all.

After about three hours, it started to bother me some so I called it
quits. I think I am good to ride, now, I just may need a few extra
rest stops to stretch my legs out and keep my joint moving.

So, Bill, if you are reading this..... How about that Catfish run? I
figure we need the better part of a day to do it......and Tuesday is
probably my best day this week, but let me know what your schedule is
    like.

That's good news that you're doing better and able to ride, which just
    riding is doing better.

Now we need a run to Cranfill's Gap before it gets too cold!

Sounds good! I was thinking of hitting that place called Catfish
O'Harley's (sp?) up near Witchita. I know it's all slabbing it down
the highway, but we might find some back roads to make it interesting.
    What do you think?

BTW - as far as *I* am concerned, anyone else that is available is
    welcome to come along, too.

There's also a C. O'Hs in Decatur. Pretty good from the reports of
folks who've eaten catfish when we went there. I'm not a fan of
catfish so can't say. Their chicken fried steak is good, but not as
good as that at the Rocket Cafe on their best days.

I appreciate it. i have to ride when I can, considering my work
    schedule. ;-)

I'll probably be coming through Texarkana on my way to AR at the end
of the month, so maybe we can get a bite together, then.

If you mean the one in Decatur, I was there for dinner yesterday. I
    recommend it. Good food.
They also have restaurants in Azle, Weatherford, and Mineral Wells.

Yeah, so we could pick any one of them and do the ride thing.

Appreciate the info, but to be honest I don't stop for BBQ too often.
For starters, my neighbor is a competition cook and between him and
his friends / cooks they pretty much ruined it for me to go anywhere
    for BBQ.

Secondly, I don't like cole slaw, mashed potatoes, or beans and guess
what the three main sides are that get served with BBQ? LOL

It's not that I won't stop for it, but it's a rare thing when *I* make
    the suggestion for BBQ. ;-)

Yeah, it was nice. I've ridden almost every day since then. Rain is
stopping me, now....but that's OK. I probably don't need to ride like
Wakko the first week back in the saddle.
