  2. Was heading from canungra to gold coast via advancetown i think??...
When a passed a group of stopped bikes. Female motorcyclist i'd seen at the
pub along with fellow riders was lying flat on the road with helmet still
on. Bike appeared to have gone straight over the edge. 5 minutes later i
passed 2 ambo's headed up to the accident.
Does anyone know of this accident or more importantly, the condition of
the girl and any other riders who may have been involved?

how it happened....we comfortably headed round the corner at 160+.... to
have lost it and gone off the road they must have been hittin some speed or
something freak, like an animal or something. I hope all are ok tho...

    Yep, me too.
There's one corner coming down from Lower Beechmont to the Advancetown
turn-off that always catches me out. It's a fast downhill left-hand sweeper
but there's a side-road branching off to the right and heading up hill and
as I approach I always think the side road is the main road.
I've had a couple of "brown" moments as I've suddenly realised I'm crossing
the on-coming traffic's path to head up this road.....

  5. HAHA, i remember that. Thought to myself they should fix it. Looked like
someones driveway, atleast this section i seen was.....but i had just been
warned by some flashing headlights to slow down....thought it was for police
up ahead, but it was for the upcoming accident.
Uni didn't have the paper. Anybody know something. It was a fairly large
group, probably 8 or 9 bikes in total with pillions.

Not a good weekend at all.
The Courier Mail reported in Monday's paper a 30 yr old rider died on the
Fernvale to Lowood Rd yesterday, and I passed a downed Kawasaki, which was
wedged under the armco, going down the hill from the tee junction back to
Samford, at the first corkscrew bend.
No rider on the deck, and a large group of helpers, so I hope he's or she's
    ok.
From the scratch marks on the road seen today, the rider lost it on the
straight downhill entry, but no tyre skid marks on the road
    Rob.

One rider in a group of 10 I was with on the weekend dropped her bike just
outside Omeo on a small country lane. Saw gravel in the middle of the road on
a bend, shit herself and grabbed the brake. More damage to the rider's
leathers than the SV650S thanks to an oggy knob which took a fair beating...
one busted indicator and busted gear shifter. The traffic was detoured around
the town because the Grand Prix Rally were in town and were conducting time
trials up the main street. On Saturday they'd been in Bright where we stayed
also, and they had closed the Mt Buffalo road and had timed hillclimb.
Fastest was 09'03". I think that's about 20km from the Gatehouse at the
bottom to the chalet turnoff. I'm sure it's a much better run when you _know_
there's no traffic coming the other way.
