  4. FFS, for two grand you may as well buy a bike with the brakes sorted.
its not exactly a good return on investment is it.

I'm reminded of pots, kettles and the colour black[1] ever time I read
    this sentence.

[1] It *is* a colour to me, before any smartarse decides to point out
    otherwise.

    Same pads as Bandit 1200 96 to 00, RF900 94 to 98 and GSXR750 from 88
    to 93, amongst others.

  9. The 6 potters off the YZF750 might be worth a look too. They drop straight
on to the same brackets as the R1 would to and probably wouldn't need a
    change of master cylinder.

I test rode a 9R some years back when I was thinking to getting shot of the
YZF. I had a very limited test ride that consisted of several laps up and
down a fast section of road. The brakes were smoking after just two laps
doing the sort of speeds I did on the yzf every day.

    Wasn't impressed.

Interesting. My KAD 6 pot calipers are also direct replacements, but
use the standard pad fitments. However, the pistons and seals are
KADs own, and have a *huge* benefit in cost alone - a complete seal
kit is 40 quid (less than half the Kawasaki price) and a complete set
of pistons is 60 quid (many, many times cheaper than Kawasaki).

After a new set of seals and pistons, the brakes were the best I've
    ever had at Snett yesterday.

Me - Very vague hint of possibility.

What route are you taking Darren? Getting from the NW to a meeting
point for the others that would take the M1 rather than the M6 (purely
for providing a point of reference, I've no intention of getting there
via the M6) seems daft, esepcially when you could get some interesting
roads to Ashbourne from here. I don't see any point in doubling up my
mileage to meet the others, see.

Haven't thought about it; generally I go to Newcastle, then down that
side but I'm sure there's as good a way down the west side of the
    country. I'll check the map.

  19. Current plan is to go in the car and come back Saturday night, as camping in
minus figures is not part of our plan. Oh, and we can't get our dogs into
    kennels.

    So we'll see you there.

  20. Current plan is to realise I've overslept after night shift, my
cunning plan to pop by for a quick bite and a pint before work has
gone to ratshit and say "bugger" and I won't see you there.

    Enjoy!
