Saturday was a nice day here in Arlington so my son woke me up about 10:00
am and wanted to go riding. We rode out to Canton Texas. The wind was a bit
of a challenge but we made it fine. The wind was more forgiving on the trip
home. We rode to Canton on I-20 all the way there and visited some family we
have there. On the trip back home, we rode back on highway 175. When we came
thru Crandall there was a guy on a Ninja 250cc (red) and we noticed him
starting to kinda weave a little. The car in front of him was acting funny
also. The car in front of him darted from the left lane all the way over to
the right lane and the guy on the motorcycle took the shoulder of the road.
The shoulder was very narrow and had a drop off. He must not have seen the
drop off and he and his bike fell over. My son and i pulled over to make
sure he was ok. He said that his motorcycle quit on him for some reason and
that he didnt see the drop off. It sure tore up the bottom ferings on his
bike. We were gald he was ok. He got his bike started and took off down
highway 175. We later passed him at the gas station. Didnt know if it was
    anyone in here.

    Nice ride report. Thanks!

I don't recall anyone here mentioning that they have a Ninja. We're kinda a
    small group here.

    What do you ride?

My daughter used to ride with me, but lately she's become somewhat anxious
(not from anything that's happened on the bike). Oh well....not gonna force
her or anything. I did enjoy taking her for rides, though.

    I ride a Yamaha V-Star 650..I bought a 2004 Ninja 250cc for my wife to learn
to ride on. She went thru the MSF course and got her license and she decided
that riding wasnt for her. I have a 17 year old boy and he liked to have
flipped out when i bought it and he wanted it. I put him thru the MSF course
and he got his license. I was going to sell it when my wife told me she
didnt want to ride afterall and i was going to buy something like a cbr900rr
or maybe even a 600cc bike. I had never ridin a sports bike before and its
kinda fun. I couldnt believe the way that little Ninja 250 ran. Its fast. It
will out run my 650. My wife said she will try to ride again in the spring
so im keeping my fingers crossed that she will. I dont want to push her into
it. I will let her go at her own pace.
