Being as I'm a gardener/handyman myself, I really could do with some
help in my garden too, as when I get home, I'm just too knackered to go
    and do it.[/QUOTE]

The guy who's doing my garden(s) is a fucking advert for being fit. He never
seems to run out of energy, so I'[m keeing the wife WELL away from him:)

I can't imagine his garden is anything but magic.
The trouble with cleaners is that lots of people clean up before the cleaner
arrives so the cleaner doesn't think they're dirty cunts. Defeats the
object, but apparently it's pretty common.

I tidy up for the cleaners, but that's so they're not trying to dust and
polish round heaps of books, papers, boots, helmets, frying pans and the
contents of the sprog's bedroom floor.

You'll NEVER get on "Life of Grime" with that attitude y'know.

Funnily enough, the cleaners were round the other day and said "We really
look forward to cleaning your house - compared to some of the others, it's a
    palace." Which was, umm, average.

But nice for them and if they appreciate it, you benefit in the long run.

My gardner likes coming here for the simple reason that I speak to him like
he's a person. Apparently, most people treat him like their personal lacky
and he's not impressed by them.

Speaking to him as an equal as opposed to trying to be some type of **** has
already brought dividends too, coz he'll do the poop scooping (I bought him
a nice scooper though) where he won't at others gardens and he's moved more
than a ton and a half of FUCKING big paving flags and wouldn't take a penny
extra. He's doing a good job of turnong my neglected garden into something
useable too, which is better than average :)

Gratitude will be yours if you could please relay the following
    message from Barry:

"Ha ha, your god doesn't love you anymore".

I realise that may not be an entirely appropriate message for you to
    pass on...

  10. The imprint of the large thunderbolt on his chest kind of gave that
    away..
It's all a game innit. I'm not one of these uber serious types that get
all precious about it! And I play D&D..
