And then reaching in to remove the car's keys before lobbing them over
the nearest hedge. That really fucks up their chances of continuing the
    chase.

    DAMHI... etc etc

    I like your idea better[1].

Best make sure you get there before they get out though, eh?

[1] Or is that "more"? ;)

  3. two reasons
most 5 foot 4 small birds have a bite that makes fido the rottwieller
    tremble with fear

being decked by a 5 foot 4 small bird would be so embarrassing you just
    don't want to go their

Heh. When I used to run SF conventions, (for fun and charity) the best
stewards were small female ones. No one ever argued with us.....

Funny that, the lass who works in our place also does some 'door
management', and she's even smaller than I am.

Easier to give you a decent kick to the bollocks whilst you're otherwise
distracted, fumbling about for your phone.

BT, sort of DT - I actually threw the keys in his face, full swing, having
made sure the message was otherwise hammered home...

Problem is... I can't dance. I can hustle bikes around a little though.

I knew this Burd from Barnsley once. Cor, I loved her accent.

    Maxine, her name was.

    Mmmmm....
You'd really need to do the NSR door wouldn't you? Anything on the RHS
would see the cabbie getting out before you've made your escape. You'd
need to take your hands off the controls...
    True.

There always the WD-40 on the windscreen trick. Not that I've ever tried
    it.

Thank you - I had hoped that you would give your own take on it. I
started writing you an email yesterday but didn't send it so I'm
    pleased that you've contributed here.

Due to our conversations over the last year both in person, via email
and here in UKRM I will always value what you say as it always seems
    wise and good independent advice.

I've taken on board what you and others have said - Slamming on the
anchors or WFO'ing it up would have solved the situation staight away.

I'll have you know I got smacked in the face by a 5 foot old woman at
one of our Roadshows a few weeks ago so I know they can get upset.
They have to reach up a bit, mind.

I think it's mostly the former. I still get wound up badly and start
foaming at the mouth etc. whilst riding.
