Best example I know of that was Black Mike, on his way down to meet us
near Limoges last year. Champ texted him telling him where we were and
he replied within seconds. We thought he must have been stopped, but
in fact he was doing 120+ down the Autoroute at the time, with the
phone in his tankbag and him pressing buttons through the clear top
    cover...

    that's nothing.

    I've seen a commercial B2B e-business website using Excel as a
    database[1].

[1] the project tangentially involved the late Mat Tab, so it's not
entirely surprising that fuckwittery was involved.

Hmm, having some trouble finding that message.

    Anyway, "whatever"

As I said in my other message if you want Dave's details or me to
include you if I get round to organising, please email me.

I really do think DC can help you with your anticipation, perception
and reaction to hazards and improving the way you handle situations.

I don't know the man, but why is he any better than any other bloke
who works as a rider trainer as most of them seem to have previously
trained plod riders and the like and the usual bits and bobs. I'm by
no way trying to rubbish him, but why is he any better than anyone
    else?

Say for example, I've been offered a day in the Whinging Courier
School of London Motorcycle Riding - would that be equally as good?

I'm hoping others will answer this as well but...
    1) He's a top bloke, both on and off the bike.
    2) He's very good at communicating - Not everyone can do that.
    3) He's not arrogant - he's quite happy to have the mickey taken out of
him if he's done something daft.
    4) He knows his stuff
    5) I can't recall him ever being judgemental - if you've done something
stupid he'll tell you, equally if it's good - but never based on "who"
you are if you see what I mean
    6) I believe everyone who's spent a weekend with him and Geoff has come
away learning something they've found very very useful.
    7) The cost is, I believe, rather lower than you would get elsewhere
and it's structured around you - not a system, or a method or a
    certification - you.

Someone like Champ or Bonners probably wouldn't benefit (other than
from an ego POV) - people like me certainly have.

    Up to you.
    Maybe - different things though.

Why not do both, or is WC attempting to finance his new sofa through
    branching out into training?

Thanks. Where in the country is he based?
I'll drop you an email later on.
I was going to have a bimble around London this year anyway just for a
change of scenery and Mr. Courier offered his services. He's a great
bloke and I trust his opinions too. Together I think we smoke too
much and drink far too much tea - perfect.

"If I was in uniform, i'd have given you 3 points for that" :)
Well, if Mat respected his opinion on his riding ability, i'm sure that
    the above 2 would.

Above Paraphrased, actually I think it went something like 'If I'd been
in uniform that would have earned you 3 points" [1]
