I was on something like my third vehicle before I got so much as a sniff.

Not been out on a Saturday night in Glasgow then?
I was once bar-propping in my local when I lived in Yorkshire. The
archetypal "small bloke" wanders up to the bar and says:

"By, you're a big feller. I'll not fight you."

    Which was nice.

Funny place that, though. I had the experience of some twat trying to
kick-off at me with the immortal line:

"You're not from round here, are you?"

"Actually, old chap, I live two hundred yards in that direction <points>
and I've never laid eyes on you in my life, so I think I'm a tad more
    local than you."

That one got defused by my mate the landlord telling the fuckwit to
    up-sup and off-piss.

  4. As he and the car would be travelling at nearly identical speeds, making
the impact speed of the bolts on ther windscreen negligible, I'd say
your guy was full of shit.

Yep. It was second hand when I got it from my sister, and my eldest
sister had owned it before her. My younger sister still has it.

Is it any of your business what laws someone else breaks?

No, but I have on occasion read and responded to text messages whilst
riding a bike. Well on two occasions.

Heh. One of the CTOs I once worked for was a spit for the pointy-haired
    boss.

    a) I don't have Pointy-Hair.
    b) Surprisingly I still have some technical skills surviving.

Oh, there's nothing wrong with my blood pressure. I happen to enjoy
getting shouty on the road; a safe outlet for the day-to-day
    frustrations of modern life.

Well, safe until some twat in a 7.5tonne lorry decides to side-swipe you
off the road, but that's another story.

Strange that, no one's ever lobbed a coke can of cigarette end at me in
20 odd years of riding bikes.

However I don't do a lot of London commuting so maybe that's how I
    missed it.

My brother and I used to knock each other around a fair bit when we were
kids. Nowadays? Well, he's bigger than me. By several stones.
