Nah, he's talking and smiling. Unless something else develops
from his injuries he could well make a full recovery. However, it
    will probably take some time.
Is that like a sprout, or something?

    Tell me about it.

Sounds like he's got away without any serious injuries though, from
what I just heard on the radio. He's out of intensive care now, so
    looking good.

On the GCS (Glasgow Coma Scale; I'm reporting here) hamster
registered 3, about as close to death as poss without dying.

Last night he was at 13, scale goes to 15.
(Fruit of my loins was on placement there last week and got his
info from those on intensive care ward.)

Surely that would be 2 or 1 :)
On the same scale? With 15 meaning up and wanting to go home?

15 means finally releasing grip on rocket car steering wheel.

I think it could take up to a week before the full extent of his
injuries is known for sure. Being out of ICU is obv a good sign.

If nothing else 'does for him', the brain having bounced about
inside his cranium will hurt for a loooooong time, I know this
    from exp.

    That's pretty good news then.

But thousands of fans want to know - are The Teeth still intact??

He won't need to open his mouth. They can send him out on an electric
wheelchair and let the laptop do the talking.

I take it you don't watch Top Gear then!
I have to admit that it did cross my mind that depending on the
injuries, TG could silence a lot of critics with its new diversity
    angle...

If not, an extra dose of Tippex will soon sort him out.

What the ****'s wrong with you?

He didn't have a sig in his post and has said he's not new here- a short
google suggests he's been around intermittently since 1999.

Whereas you've been here for five minutes[1] and are suddenly jumping up
and down trying to patrol usenet protocols... whilst using Outlook
    express; the choice of 'experts'.

    Fucking newbies.

[1] OK, under your current posting name since mid 2004
