RG-=RD/RZ=NSR

  1. One can't fault Honda for offering the 400 instead of a 500cc 2 stroke.
They were trying to get the bike passed by the EPA and hopefully sell
the bike to The USA. The RG as well as the RZ would not meet emissions
and noise guidelines. You can't blame Honda for trying. The Bike was a
great handling machine and yes it was not as powerful as the other 2,
but it was unique in its own way! Of the three GP replicas built, only
one was true to its roots. The others were mere shadows of their
racing counterparts. Suzuki gave the ultimate experience on a two
stroke. Yamaha was the biggest let down from engine to chasis to
brakes! The only thing that was really missing on the RZ was a
windsheild wiper and some washer fluid! ONE UGLY BIKE...when compared
to the ultra exotic Gamma and NSR! As for value of these bike for
anyone on the lookout to buy, expect to pay the most for an RG as it
was the most! Secondly for the Honda, and if you really wanted
something to hang old laundry on, grab the Yamaha

I've had an RG500 and I'm building up another as an RGV custom type
bike. Just can't beat it for sheer riding experience. Been on lots of
bikes in the past. Big v-twins, little 250 racers, fours, singles.
    The lot.

NOTHING, and I mean nothing compares to a 500-four. Just read Wayne
    Gardiner's response after riding Biaggi's RCV211 and his old '87 NSR500
    four.

"The motoGP bikes are amazing, and fantastic, but nothing beats a 500!"

    Enough said for me :)
