But you state it as if it's fact. It's the syntax. Regardless of the
words used, you state it /as if it's fact/. Just like Dubya.
    I'm not hysterical.

How many people do you think will keep a receipt for upto 11.999 months?

It's sounding like the ID card thing, renew your passport and it'll
cost you over £100 (or whatever the cost is) because you've *got* to
have an ID card wether you want one or not.

Well the solutions obvious then. Remove number plate, re-attach. Dead
    rfid chip.

Perhaps there's another reason behind this?

We are told that road charging per distance travelled may happen (you
see they are getting prepared for electric cars), then there's automatic
character recognition systems already in place and next this RFID idea.

What they really want is to drastically cut the number of cars on the
road. A fixed society is easier to control. We [1] believe that spin
about new security measures are to confront terrorism. So all they have
to do is add all the above features using the same spin and we'll all be
staying much closer to home where we're easier to monitor and control.

Perhaps it is time to get my Norton back on the road. At the speed I
move at I'll probably have it ready just in time.

Well plod (and any other authority) do ****-all about that now. They
just leave it to the MoT test centre to do the work for them. Otherwise
all the pikey types in Harlow wouldn't have stupid font number plates.

    Granted.

I'm thinking of a little till receipt. I suppose if they make it
something like MOT sized and make it obvious that without it they will
have to pay out for another set of plates come TAX time, less people
    will forget/loose it.

  10. These things run on batteries, right?

Cold nadgers batteries very fast. Pop the plate in the freezer
    overnight?

  11. There are millions of bodies in unmarked graves, in all parts of the
world, of people who thought that.

You don't need a receipt, just wave your id card and Central Data will
    confirm it.

Going round the local carparks with your hand-held transmitter and frying
hundreds would be a good start for a campaign against the nasty things.
Next stop Tesco, screw up their stock control. Then hang around in
Heathrow, burning out every e-passport that comes by.

A few industrious and determined chaps could bring the whole system to its
    knees.

That'll keep my daughter busy for a little while. She works for Tesco
    on their stock control systems.

Go shopping in Russia, they've got some very nice suitcase sized EMP
weapons apparently. The only thing being, that' they're one shot
    explosive devices.
