The rec.motorcycles group is an exception but is too generalized and far too active (currently well over 100,000 posts have been made in that group and the rate is well over 200 posts a day.) Although rec.motorcycles might work for an occasional question, getting a useful answer to a question from another Victory owner is much less likely due to the vast readership. Ownership and interest in Victory motorcyles has grown to the point where there will be adequate interest to support a make-specific newsgroup. This would be similar to the way rec.motorcyles.harley serves the community of those interested in Harley Davidson motorcyles. Based on the topic alone, there would be no (or at least very little) overlap with other motorcycle groups and rec.motorcycles.victory would be easy to locate for Victory owners who are usenet savvy.
