It's temporary, the little niggles are being sorted by judicious
application of phrases like "**** off and stop coming onto me".

 

You live in the wrong bit of Cumbria, to be honest. My mood always
lift immensely when I visit my mate who lives near Bowness.

 

There's really no reason to get depressed if an attractive young thing
makes her intentions clear. Most chaps would find it cheered them up,
I'd have thought.

 

And don't think we're not grateful this side of the Pennines.

I guess I agree - if the attractive young thing was disinclined to
take no for an answer, then that could get quite tiresome.

Can't see it being the latter, though... Yes, the Lake District is a
bloody gorgeous place when it isn't full of you bloody southern
tourists (!) and/or pissing it down royally. I always try to have a
few days out playing on the Bandit in the Lakes, as it's sort of my
back yard, although it's often said people don't appreciate what's
right in front of them, familiarity breeding contempt and all that.
There are many other places a short ride from here just as good for
biking, clearing the mind or whatever takes your fancy - I'd love the
opportunity to show a few of you the area.
