    Re the following:
Anyone else notice that these "black spots" ARE NOT
WHERE the revenue (oops) speed cameras are?

Not totally sure about the non-urban areas except for no
fixed cameras at all in the Richmond (far north coast area).
And the metro top 5 are either not represented or not
    well represented.

So much for the safety message ...

    Tex

I bet an analysis of camera location vs crash frequency will
    disprove that they "work" ...

Actually black spots are areas where the governments spend a fair amount of
money in fixing, be it with narrower roads, or with copious signage. I agree
about the cameras though, they do save lives and speeding does kill. Some
people should just accept that as a fact and move on..

Is this bait or are you an utter twat?

    it doesn't , they don't - you don't get it
Actually, under the supposedly relevant legislation, Black spots are the
    ONLY
places cameras are to be sited.
You are a deceived member of the vast stream of unthinking humanity
that is loved by those with a vested interest in an ignorant, uncritical and
    unthinking morass.

    Bah humbug to you.

As someone said.. "You are a deceived member of the vast stream of

    Dear Lord,
Thank you for giving us Tex, who you sent to guide us deceived members of
the vast stream of unthinking humanity out of the hands of those with a
vested interest in an ignorant, uncritical and unthinking morass.

Sarcasm? Not at all. If the crash statistics showed speed cameras _were_ in
the blackspots, _that_ would prove their uselessness.

Our area has had 14 deaths in the last 3 years. ( we only just made it as a
black spot in the last 6 months ).

We are within the St Mary's Area
