Just 'stuff' wot occurred after I went to town this afternoon.

Incidentally, I made a bloke on a silver ZZR look at me all funny as
he turned onto the A507. Thought it was you and waved in a comedy
fashion ... it wasn't you. He certainly did a doouble take.

Actually I think the buzz from the HGV test (10th December 1996) was
bigger than the bike one (26th June 1995) - but that was because the
HGV test was a lot harder. The bike one was a bit of a doddle, I
    thought.

Same for me (years and all). My beer consumption at university didn't
    leave any money for motorbikes.

Service it regularly. It shouldn't go wring. That goes for both,
Bollocks. Though there is a minute difference it width, I'd fancy me
    on a GSXR1000 to out-filter you on a CG125 through London.

    So pull in for petrol.
Well, yeah, but if you're after cheap motoring, you should buy a
    secondhand fiesta.
You haven't met me, have you? I don't do "image" and nothing stopped
me having four big bikes. Well, three...

Fair enough - I went for the 250cc but pay nothing if possible route - a
CZ250 for the test, then bought a CB500/4 for 250 quid with my paper
    round savings and birthday money...

That was when the Norwich Union Rider policy for a Moped (actually any
bike upto 100 cc) didn't actually state the size restriction on the
policy... 19 quid TPFT for a 500 seems OK nowadays.

  9. Hmm, other way round for me. <consults licence and counts> just over 8
    years.

Got my first bike over 21 years ago (

moral of this tale... dont get married to someone anti bike.

or some sort of filthy grebo, I suppose.
what's having a CG125 got to do with that? I can think of loads of
proper bikes that'd be better at it (admittedly these would be dirt
bikes and supermotos). But your CG125 isn't *that* much thinner than a
real bike. I'll grant you the steering lock, but that's only really an
advantage when traffic is gridlocked, which doesn't actually happen
    very often in London.
Well, if I were worried about fuel economy I certainly wouldn't have
    the vehicles I currently own.
    Or a Scot, I suppose.
    err, yes.
you've no idea what bikes I have, do you?

I know that you have a CD200, and I know perfectly well that you don't
subscribe to the last paragraph. And you've spoiled my feedline.

  19. Good question - coz I got the bike first, and am coming up to one year
(of ownership) this month. Have to wait until July for the 'licenced'
bit. And then, at this rate, 2020 before I have ridden in 12 different
    months.. ;o(

How sad is that: managed 4 consecutive months on my own bike, followed
by one brief spin in Jan. Roll on June, 'swot I say!
