Resistored plug and cap okay?

    Got a small displacement thumper that apparently has a resistored spark
    plug cap installed and the manual specs a non-resistored spark plug. I've
    installed an iridium plug (resistored) and it seems to run fine but I was
    wondering if there any problem with doing that? The bike is early 90's
    Suzuki with CDI ignitor.

    Yup, replying to my own post...

    Additional reading on the matter turned up several warnings about lowering
    the total resistance in the HT circuit, as well as correlating increased
    resistance with starting difficulties. I measured the resistance of the
    OEM cap - 10k ohms - and the iridium plug - 5k ohms - then ordered a 5k
    ohm NGK cap to keep the net resistance the same (OEM plug has no resistor).

    Bike does seem to start a bit easier and the iridium plug ought to last
    a bit longer than the standard nickel varieties.

    On to making the seat more comfortable...
