Could someone please email me when the "school holidays" are
over, so that I may resume reading ukrm without wishing to chuck
the monitor out of the window?

    TIA.

If you think that's bad, try listing what is ostensibly a 'boy racer
car' on eBay. It is quite breath-taking how utterly stupid some people
    are.

Even better, how about the regulars that should know better refusing
to rise to the bait and thus starving the attention-seeking cunts to
    death?

Can't we keep one? Just for the holidays? It might die in the sunlight.

Well, we've got 11 asking what the buy it now is (with varying degrees
of illiteracy), despite the auction stating there isn't a buy it now.

There's 1 asking if I'll part exchange it for some Toyota thing,
despite the auction stating I'm not interested in any part exchanges.

One guy said he wanted to come & collect it the following day & pay
cash, as he knew the car when my mate's dad owned it & has been trying
to buy it for months. I told him I won't end the auction early, so he
got hold of my mate's number & rang him direct, to make the same offer.
    Bit naughty really.

One guy replied "**** U N STICK IT UP UR ARSE THEN!!!" when told he
couldn't buy it for cash. Which was nice.

Then there's the phone calls. This morning's twat fired a long series
of questions, every single one of which was answered in the listing
anyway. E.g. has it got an MoT, has it got tax, is there any bodywork
    damage(!). And so on...

Oh, I nearly forgot the questions asked through the hondacrx forum.
Same sort of thing really. One guy PM'd me asking what the buy it now
was. I replied "there isn't one". He replied "there isn't one wot?" I
    unsubscribed.

And if you think that's bad try selling a latest "must have" phone on ebay,
the lad that won it sent me an email immediately at the end of auction
saying" I'll meet you at McDonalds in Braintree in an hour and give you the
money and pick get the phone... I was in France at the time and got the
email the next day on my return, I mailed him back and he said "I don't want
    it now, it's too late".

I wouldn't mind there was never a pick up option on the listing and it
finished on a Sunday afternoon, so my plan was to mail it to the winner
(once paid for) special delivery on the Monday afternoon, I thought posting
within 24 hours of auction end was reasonable.

Besides, he could have been anyone, turned up with his mates and nicked the
    phone off me.

Ah, iswym. Not sure I want more hits tbh - it'd just lead to more
questions, & this is a really bad week time-wise[1].

I would gently point out that I have studiously ignored him for
months. I psoted some replies to his inanities yesterday and this
morning (listing precisely where he has been a prat - so yes, it went
on for a while) and now he goes back in the 'ignore' box.

Report him to Ebay. They'll pull his account for that.

Why on earth put a phone number in an internet auction? YTC.

Nonsense. Check the number of replies in the current "Des" thread
from me - 3, 1 of which was a reply to Zymurgy and Des has been in my
ignore box for the last few weeks. And there's been no trolling on
the classic thread in a long, long time since _one_ particular troll
was attacked - rightly so in my opinion although it did rather flood
that group for a few days the damage that particular troll did
elsewhere justified the temporary situation. In that particular case
there were replies from many others than myself and TOG.

I'd gently suggest you get your facts straight.

My gast is well & truly flabbered. I could perhaps understand an eBay
newbie not being able to figure it out, but you? I'll give you a few
    more minutes thinking time.

So nobody's ever hit 'Ask seller a question' on your auctions to
request your number so they can ask lots of questions about what you're
    selling?

Yes, and I don't give out phone numbers on it, but reply using the
little box, for that purpose. I'm buggered if I'll give every Ebay
    thicko my phone number.
