As the subject suggests, can anyone make a recommendation? (no, I'm not
moving.). I know Tony Bogaart can work magic on older bikes, but I'm
not sure he's what you would call a boxer specialist.

Ray Peake (07-5543 5962) has worked on all my BMW's (4 Boxers, 3K's) for the
past 10 years, I am very happy with the result.

I've only ever been to Ray and I am very happy with his work.
He's a bloody long way from the Sunshine Coast though (and over an hour
    south of Brisbane CBD)

Yep, another brickbat for Ray Peake.

He has been working on my BM's since 87 (86 K100RS) and know on my new toy,
99 R1100GS with all the goodies. Comes highly recommended from many.

I now the Sunshine Coast is a bit of a hike to Ray's but I look at it this
way. You can spend your sheckles on an unknown mechanic and take your
chances or go with a person who has a good rep.

errm you'd be wanting to give him the bouquets half of that saying I
think from your above comments. The brickbats are what you peg at the
    guys who piss you off

    A dork I am.

That will teach for drinking large amounts of Guinness before getting on the
    computer.
