Repaired leathers

I just got my leathers back from being repaired, via Graham Falke at
    GLF.

Now, these leathers were cut off me in hospital, so both arms and legs
were had a slit all the way along them. They cut through the stretch
panels where they could (cos it's easier), but had to cut thru leather
at some point on each limb.

Anyway, the repaired leathers are like brand new! I can't see a mark
on them. Obviously the damaged panels have been completely replaced.
The downside is that the repair cost nearly 400 quid, but a new set of
leathers would have been more than twice that, so I'm pretty pleased.

So, yet another recommendation for Graham and GLF.

Go see Graham, you'll spend decent money but you'll never regret it

    Wot 'e said.

I'd rather travel the 1 1/2 hours up to Graham's place than set foot
into the HG in Maidstone again.

OK, maybe that doesn't sound like that much of a recommendation but I'd
rather go visit Graham every few years and buy decent kit off him than
go buy cheaper stuff somewhere else every six months.

You're coming down our way in a couple of weeks aren't you? Either
drive down a bit earlier and pop over on the Saturday or go on Sunday
morning. I'll either give you directions or you can follow me over
there if it's easier. It's only a 20 minute drive so it's not a big
    deal.

IIRC he's not opening the shop on Sundays anymore - give him a bell
    beforehand to check.

That'll be ok, we can take the outfit over there, you'd enjoy being
the bitch in the box with me piloting the brute. I'd even let you
drive it if you asked nicely.

Hmmm. Makes me wonder whether I should do the same with mine, also
    with cut trousers.

400 quid's still quite a lot, although in euros it'd probbly be less,
    IYSWIM, but still...

OTOH, what do a need a set of life-saving leathers for now, eh?

Make sure he's fitted the Boudicea scythes to the chariot, makes taking
out cars just that little bit easier.
