removing datatool immobiliser

I finally had enough of my datatool 'stealth' alarm (which i never
even realised had an immobiliser cos it never worked) when my weekend
was cut short with the bike not starting so I've ripped the blasted
thing out. Everything seemed to be going well- all original
connections were remade and the starter switch finally does something
    again. Only... no spark!

So my question, is there anything I'm missing? Anyone know if
datatool alter anything else? I've gone through the whole wiring loom
checking for continuity and no wires seem to have been cut, so unless
they've swapped the IC igniter for their own unit for example, I'm a
    bit stumped.

I've already spent the glorious bank holiday weekend on this, any
    ideas/thoughts would be most welcome

    Cheers

If you google you will see I posted about removing a Datatool Evo from my
Ducati just last week. This is the 2nd I've done over the years and in both
    cases I found:

A splice in the starter solenoid feed
Same in the fuel pump feed
Pick up from a stop light feed
    2 feeds into indicators

They do not change any OEM bike electronics.
