    kkkoolade on draft?

Does the landlord's political leaning affect the pub in any particular way?

It affects my desire to give them money, knowing that I'll be
indirectly financing the BNP if I do (albeit in a very very tiny way).

We've managed third a few times, as a duo (though the main prizes are
distributed at random across the top three). Most of my winnings have
come from the bonus question at the end. Netted £107 on one question
    once, which was nice.

I hope you are as studious with Brown and Cameron though

Pah, trying living in the midlands and constantly missing events down
in London as it's too sodding far and Bath takes priority.
Point of order, you can only see the light over the sign if you lean
out of the front field. Though that maybe a height thing.
It's a fine boozer but it needs to start doing food, particularly
    Sunday lunch.

    *Exactly*

Getting around in London is never a decent excuse to cop out.

    I agree.

Except I'm not *in* London, so:

    1. Drive home - 25 mins
    2. Walk to station[1] - 30 mins
    3. Train to Waterloo - 1 hr 10 mins
    4. Tube to Liverpool St. - 10 mins.

So that's over 2 hours 15min *at best* to get there[2], and the same to
    get back home[3]

And after all, it's only to spend an evening with darsy & ogden.

[1] It's more reliable than getting a cab during Friday rush-hour.
[2] Not including various "transfers" between platforms, walking to the
    actual pub, etc.
[3] OK - I'd get a cab back from the station.

So had it been at, say, the Chandos, the 5 minutes off your journey
would have been enough to make it worthwhile?

    Freak.

There's no direct services to Waterloo coming up at all on the National
    Rail website.

The best is the 19:12, gets to Waterloo at 20:50 with three changes!

But I haven't had the UKRM-infested housewarming yet. Even Platy
    hasn't taken the opportunity yet.
