Starting on the Leffe before we even got back to Gare du Nord wasn't the
best idea. The Duvel just took the idiocy a bit further. As for the
lock-in at some dive round the corner from Waterloo, lets not even go
    there...

I'm game. Got the afternoon booked off, so would most likely head away
from here about 12.30. That gives about 4 hours being bored rigid at the
show, and plenty of time for the pub after.

Ah. I'm now in Barcelona 8th-10th, unless I get as grumpy as I did
yesterday and tell them where to stick their low-rent kickoff event.

I'll be going to Excel if I haven't spent all my money at Ally Pally
tomorrow but when you consider I've got a mental shopping list that
potentially runs into hundreds of pounds I may well be slaving away on
    weapons of mass destruction.

Game on. I'll email Keith and ask when it's convenient for him for us
to visit and take it from there.
I've told my boss I'm having time off in February so he's been warned.
I think he wants a go on the bike if I leave it in Kendal for a week
but I don't think he actually understands what modern sports bikes are
    capable of.

You know, in the "playing to your strengths" stakes, I can't help
feeling there's been a terrible miscalculation here.

Me too. Same lid. Don't think it was quite half price though. If the
ticket prices are to be believed, 400-odd RRP and I got it for £250.

I thought that not too bad.

I paid £180 plus a tenner postage and it came with
    a black visor. Bargain!

Andy's just upset that I out-drank him. I don't remember much about that
evening, but I clearly remember him turning down the offer of a last
    round. Pansy.

I'm going to have to bail, anyway. Rapidly running out of clear weekends
    in Feb.

Not an issue for a 100% road rider though. I wouldn't be put off by a 3
year old 'new in box' Arai at that kind of discount.

Quite. AIUI, it's exposure to light that makes it deteriorate, so a 5
year old lid that's been sitting in a box is better than a 1 year old
lid that's been sitting on a display shelf.
