    MOTORING: Top Gear
    On: BBC 2 London
Date: Sunday 22nd June 2008 (starting in 9 days)
    Time: 20:00 to 21:00 (1 hour long)

The very latest Top Gear news and views from the usual team. Jeremy,
Richard and James apply their minds to the question of what the
British police should drive. At the moment Bobbies are forced to drive
around in diesel hatchbacks, gingerly shuffling the steering wheel and
letting criminals get away rather than risk scuffing their wheel
trims. So, armed with no more than 1000 pounds each, the Top Gear boys
set out to buy a bargain priced police cruiser that can take part in a
dramatic chase without fear of costing the tax payer a packet if it
    gets broken.

One of the lads on the Fiat Coupe forum sold his car to Clarkson for £900,
so expect to see the boys in blue in a 20V turbo.

Better hope the crooks (a) don't try to escape along any roads with bends in
them and (b) don't get too far from a petrol station.

With any luck Capt. Slow will turn up on an ex-plod R80RT. Somehow
with the great "I am" Clarkson there's as much chance of that as of
the UK getting a vote on the EU treaty.
