The one that I bought that I still haven't got running right?

Well, I seem to have accidentally bought a Vetter fairing and Samsonite
    luggage set for it.

    Help meeeeeeee...

Think I'd better give RS a call on Monday, I seem to need quite a lot of
    yellow paint.

    You do, don't you...

I keep replying that in 2 years and around 40k miles I've had one
problem. But, then again my experience is limited to the K100 and it's
undeniable that some of the R series had shitty valves that lost their
heads and wreaked havoc with the engines.

What I would say though, is that I've never ridden anything through a
winter before that emerged in (just about) the same state that it
entered- bearing in mind I don't find the time to wash off salt spray
    etc. Previous bikes I've used over a winter- GPZ600, GT750, CB250RS
emerged in a sorry state, admittedly it's due to my negligence but I'd
maintain it also shows that in my experience (limited to two K100s) that
the BMW finish is more suited to winter neglect than Japanese bikes.

A bite implies some degree of irritation. I've just presented the bare
facts from my experience. I've also shown my knowledge of flaws of BMW
reliability. I don't accept that BMWs are a paragon of reliability but
I also don't accept that they are inherently unreliable.

If simply refuting a statement I believe is incorrect is classified as a
'bite' then I'd suggest more than half of the posts on this NG are
    bites.

    So there.
