I was chatting to the bloke who runs a tea wagon, where I get an early
morning caffeine fix not far from our's most mornings. Turns out he
bought that very bike in an off-eBay sale for 2300 quid. I didn't think
that was a bad price for an 18 month old bike.

  2. That's very good. I sold my 3-year old 800 Classic for 2800 to
    a dealer.

Wasn't it up for about £4000 on Ebay?

For £300 more, he could have had this:

Admittedly, the dualseat looks like an area-ruled slug, but it's the only
place you can attach a sensible amount of baggage. Tractor saddle = credit
    card & toothbrush touring.

Crying out for a nice chromy rack on the rear wheel enclosure innit.
Summat you can strap a fanny pad to for those pillion carrying
    emergencies.

The rear mudguard is mounted on the swingarm, like a hugger. I wouldn't
fancy trying to sit on it for any distance.

Ah. Then I agree that luggage carrying is a bit awkward. Wouldn't be a
good idea to add to the unsprung weight too much. Mind you the beast ain't
    no lightweight anyway...

If I bring it to the BOSM, you'll have to have a pole of it.
