    ....for KRC 2006.

They have a nice new Superstock class. No quick release systems, no
fancy fuel fillers or oversized tanks.

Time to get some race plastics for the K5. Anyone care to join me?

IIRC you have to be an experienced racer for KRC.

Must have changed then because I distinctly remember being there on the
last day Ferrier rode in a red string vest.

You have to show experience but I think that can be gained from the ACU
training programme. They won't issue a licence unless you do some track
    training.

LOL - well that lasted a long time!

Still at least it's a vaguely modern, vaguely reliable motorcycle this
    time round.. ;-)

Afraid not. It's all been sold except a few bits and pieces and the
    wheel changing/balancer stuff.

It was only the annual 'twitch' when the forms arrive each year. I
did consider the merits of renewing the ACU licence though.

Me too but needs must :eek:/

Are you talking Super*stock* or have you suddenly found an urge to
    race girls bikes?)

IMO its a good job KRC have introduced this class otherwise the club
would have been dead within a few years. People can have a go
competitively (in class) now without having to spend a fortune [1].

[1] Please refer to 'racing expenses' for clarification of 'fortune'

I have a f/glass race seat unit you can borrow that fits a stock
subframe and takes a stock seat, and a spare tank and pre-disastered
stock panels, but you've got most of that already.

Btw, Is your old grey/black top fairing for sale, the one the bird hit?
I need one only to make a full set of track bodywork so condition is
unimportant as I can always weld it up.

I have a spare uncracked but scuffed right hand 1000 K1/2 panel in blue.
It could easily and cheaply be painted to suit your other black panels.
I gave 31 quid on eBay for it, you can have it for the same. I'll still
have a matching pair left for track use.
