Reevu

  1. Saw on Beyond the Next that there's this helmet with rear vision called
    a Reevu.

Anyone seen one? Any good? Gimmick?

    On sale here? How much?

    Yes saw that, looks interesting.
Anybody know what that yellow bike that was being riden on the show?
weired looking thing. I know the bike with the chair was a CB1300.

I was also relieved to find out on that fine show that a yacht that does
(or at least may do one day) 50 knots accelerates faster than a 'racing
    motorcycle'!

    Mmmm.

Someone sent me the URL for this yesterday. God knows why anyone would
want one. I have mirrors on my bike which work fine.

    regards,

    I sent them an email, and received the response below;

    Hi Rod,

Due to the huge demand created here in Europe, the helmets are not
available in Australia just yet. We have appointed a distributor who
are going to test for the Australian Standard Ansi 1698. Once we have
this we will be able to introduce the helmets into the market.

Until the helmets comply with the Australian Standards they can not be
    shipped into the country.

They retail for around 400 Euros in Europe, but due to local taxes etc,
we do not know the exact cost in AU dollars yet.

We have a mailing list to keep you updated of when the helmets are
    available

I will keep you posted once I have news.

Perhaps you shouldn't post here if you feel the need to make violent threats
to people that don't agree with you.

oh c'mon bvr, everyone has a chuckle at your dastardly attempts to take
    over the world :)

    when i compare http://underdog-leathers.com to http://rideicon.com

I feel a swelling of patriotic flem rise up my throat.

    Those yanks have got nothing.

You're right. All I got was "Get Ready, this is a highly interactive
web site. You'll benefit from having a fast internet connection,
a fast computer, and a monitor resolution above 1024x768". That's
    it.

Oh, and a never ending "Loading 5%" sign.

You're right, those yanks have got nothing. Bad site design,
bad domain name choice, so-called 'technology' that simply
doesn't work. (Actually, as flashturbation sites go, this
one did well in that it at least got a message on the screen
that confirmed the author as a wanker)

I'm sure there are more effective ways to drive customers
away (or at least make sure that no-one ever figures out what
you're selling), but I can't think of one right now.
