Red flag rule.

I have to agree with Harold Bartol (KTM team boss) with his comments
about the red flag rule and how the rider who crashed and caused the red
flag gets whatever points his position was the lap before. He says that
rider should be eliminated from the points. To me that seems a sensible
rule. With the 125 race there were still 5 laps remaining and the final
positions were far from decided, particularly for riders maybe leaving
it to the end to make there passes etc., yet Luthi who crashed and
caused the red flag still gets 20 points, had he crashed and not
affected the race he would have got nothing.

Apparently there is going to be a discussion with race direction about
this rule, it will be interesting to see what they decide.

  2. What if riders crash because of others wrong doing and as a result the race
    get red flagged?
Not saying I disagre, just that there are more to it than the clear
    situation in last 125 race.

I don't see how they can make it automatic. And there's precious little
time between the red flag and the podium ceremony for an inquest.

Why not make it the riders who crashed get DNF and the race is taken
from the last time the leader crossed the line.
