My eyes are quite sensitive to bright light, in fact I rarely if ever go
outside without sunnies on. Since I need them I pay a good deal for a
decent set of Bolle glasses, as I can't function outside on bright days
(not even driving or mowing the lawn). If I'm up late I have to turn the
brightness down on the LCD put it that way.

Anyway today I left work with my helmet on (and visor up). As I started
to pull out of the road that my work's on, I sneezed, and my glasses
came off, and out. They landed on the road next to the car turning
right. I was doing 5km at the time, so pulled to the side of the road
and stopped less than 10m from where they landed.

The @*#$&) @#(_$& @!_$&!@_$& turning right (to my right, it's Australia
remember) just *HAD* to edge a little left so he could crush them.
Riding the whole way home squinting sucks. Knowing it's only because
some rectal sphincter deliberately did it makes it worse.

The idiot works in our building. They even park within 3 spaces of my bike.

It's very hard to scratch a footpeg, but they're handy for "whoops mate,
sorry, gee maybe you could've left more room. It looks like about 500
worth of damage though .. what a coincidence.."

The least flat part of my glasses are the scuff marks on the lenses
where it appears said driver was kind enough to brake. I mean they were
unfixable after a frigging land cruiser drives over them, why do that !?

I have no idea what I am going to do tomorrow - Anzac day, nothing is
    open ! Argh.

Yep; people are arseholes when they know they're untouchable! (And you can
    double that if they're in a 4WD!)

I was riding home once when I spotted a mobile-phone lying in the middle of
the road so I pulled over and tried to grab it but the ONLY car coming just
had to swerve and run over it when he saw what I was trying to do!

(The phone was rooted but I put the SIM into another phone and dialled
"HOME" in the address book only to have the woman scream at me and threaten
to call the police if I didn't return her phone IMMEDIATELY!!
    Ya can't win.)

Could be so, but then......most drivers wouldn't know exactly where their
vehicle wheels are in relation to objects on the road... coincidence??
Anway, be positive about it, seems to me that you are now in the unique
position to "look on the bright side" of life.
    Ah!!

Yes, very bright, unsafe to ride 'til I get sunnies. I am honestly going
to have to get driven downtown tomorrow to get some as it's unlikely I'd
    make it there alone.

  10. Best buy two. If your eyes are that sensitive I'm surprised you don't
    already have a spare set.

So its the Cage drivers fault you sneezed and droped YOUR glasses ? I guess
its easier to blame everyone else than to accept responsibility

It's easier to make an assumption than read the post too.
Read this part "They landed on the road next to the car turning right"
